Kazuya "Hakuryu" Tellagory
Title: Hakuryu, or “white dragon”, coming from the saying to chase the white dragon which refers to smoking methamphetamine. Age: 26 Alignment: Unlawful chaos / evil Homeboard: N/A (Tokyo-Analogue) & N/A (London-Analogue) Power: In normal people, methamphetamine increases awareness and energy, concentration and in larger doses increases self-esteem and libido. When Kazuya ingests the chemical, his body reacts completely differently: it has the effect of making him stronger, tougher, and more agile, with those traits scaling with how much he has taken. Theoretically, if he took enough to overdose, he'd be tough enough for it not to kill him, and he'd be massively strong and incredibly fast – until the comedown period. He, however, has no intention of being a drug-addict and he only chases the white dragon (a turn of phrase from which he gets his nickname) when it's completely necessary. Occupation: Drug-dealer affiliated with the Yakuza; Kazuya works as a middle-man between suppliers in the East and buyers in the West in a leadership role. Because he's physically powerful he is also occasionally called on to settle disputes and crack skulls. Weakness: Kazuya is mortal and nearly human if he's not using; he's mildly lactose intolerant. Appearance: Kazuya is relatively tall, with a lithe build athletic from practical use, muscle-mass built in fighting and running instead of manufactured in a gym with the help of protein shakes and energy bars. He wears loose, practical, but good-quality clothing; usually jeans and a hoodie. Strip him down though (and he would stand unashamed and unbashful, absent-mindedly looking somewhere else like it's nothing, one hand scratching the back of his neck and the other on his hip) and his mass of tattoos – most notably the red and gold dragon curling across his back, its head and front claws over his shoulders – would show, interrupted by silvery scar tissue. He has long black hair that he cuts maybe once a year by taking a pair of kitchen scissors to it above his bathtub; it hangs perpetually in brown-black eyes although he will tie it back if it's getting in the way. He only shaves if he has to, meaning there is always a shadow of stubble over his chin, even on days he's supposed to look respectable.
Both confident and self-assured, Kazuya moves like a wild animal, and despite being only a little over average height in most Western countries, he has a threatening presence. His smile can terrify as much as reassure, a common expression with dozens of emotional permutations from behind a curtain of dark hair. He's not unattractive, in a doesn't-always-notice-bloodstains-on-his-rumpled-shirt, doesn't-always-remember-to-shave, reeks-of-cigarettes kind of way.
Faceclaim: Nobuto, Bus Gamer. Personality/History: Kazuya always speaks politely and unassumingly and has a kind of calm that is both reassuring and unsettling; even when he smiles at a joke it's like he's joining in for appearances. He always phrases things as questions, or makes polite requests when he wants people to do things but means you might get hurt if you don't; he rarely says something assuming that he is correct, but usually is. He'll betray you with a half-wave and a sorry, or leave you to a beating with a my bad. He'll ask if you mind if he smokes and do it whatever your answer; if somebody asks him to do something he'll smile, nod, and ignore them, and apologize profusely if they call him up on it.
He loves sweets but hates spicy foods, and he's very picky about his brand of cigarettes and always smokes them right until you start to smell burning filter, and they're usually bent from being stuffed unceremoniously in his back pocket. He's messy but clean, although he's an alright cook and can if maybe won't do his own laundry and ironing.
Kazuya's probably a little crazy, part junkie and part goon; he was born in England, accidental side effect of what happens when you rub an English teacher and a Japanese Yakuza together. He took his mother's last name as technically she was his sole guardian, but his father could find a use for a young man speaking both English and Japanese fluently; he was shipped between his parents for much of his childhood, attending mostly English primary school but dropping out of a Japanese high school (he speaks both languages fluently, but he can barely read or write Japanese). His father ignored him apart from ordering him around and occasionally hitting him, but was never truly abusive; his mother loved him but was busy looking for real father for him, whom she never found. His father was killed in a shooting and his mother doesn't like talking to him anymore.
Kazuya's not dumb, he's just disinterested: he'll come out with strange esoteric knowledge, but frown at complex equations unless they're about his job. He's massively mistrustful of people, but smiles and lets them betray him without getting seeming to get angry. He doesn't have much in the way of a temper, although he's very vengeful; he won't get mad, but he's beaten men to death with perfect calm and please, don't do that again, for things other people have simply stewed and ranted about. He doesn't understand romance, but he makes friends and he likes sex (with both men and women, something which surprises many; some cite the pederasty practiced by samurai but he'll just smile and say something like no, I just like the way ass feels, it's nice, or perhaps more commonly I can't kiss and tell) so he does have close friends he has sex with. He's just not the romantic or marrying type. Weapon of Choice: L-shaped metal pipe, glock semi-auto. Also his fists and a white-leather glove with a knuckle bar with star-shaped studs. Genre: All, serious. Permissions: all & any provided I can logic and in-character check before publishing.

'L-shaped metal pipe'
yes ive had a lot of practice with L-shaped metal pipes in the past, in fact as a boy i trained every day for 6 hours with one in the hope to attain L-shaped metal pipe mastery
dumb weapon preference and proliferation of kazuya minekura clichés aside, hella cool; though i'm unsure how he'll fit wrt a 'greater plot'.
