Name: Harry Trounson
Supername: The Postman
Alignment: Hero
Type: Unknown
Ability: To send paper inscribed with messages up to 48 hours backwards in time.
Weakness: Cannot mess with the order of time (eg: cannot send himself a message telling himself to do something he didn't do, he cannot alter events that would cause himself to not be where he is currently (self-fulfilling prophecy)). Also, feels compelled to send messages that he has already received, with the feeling/compulsion growing stronger towards the 48 hour time limit.
Personality: Strong willed. Believes in the liberation and protection of the people. Feels duty bound if it is something he is able to do.
Team/City: Works as a civil servant and registered Hero in Greater Warbick.
Appearance: White collar worker - often seen in business shirt and tie. Fit, but not overly so. Black hair and hazel eyes.
Genre: Any - I think.
Permission: Ask if you want to use him as a character personally, but feel free to use his ability as a plot device.
Origin:
Harry was a civil engineer working with CRF, when one morning he revived a letter from himself, telling him to send the message back to 7am at 9am, and that he could do it.
At 8:59, Harry felt different, and took the piece of paper in his hands and willed it 2 hours back in time. It disappeared, and somehow he knew he had succeeded.
It wasn't long until Harry was testing the extent of the ability, and first used it to send lottery numbers backwards in time. That week, he won 13 million dollars.
The next day, he was arrested for subverting the lottery system and extra-dimensional fraud. Harry had never felt what he was doing was wrong, he had seen it as a way to finally get out of his dead end life where he couldn't help anyone - and he was planning to do it with money.
After explaining his power to the judge, he was sentenced to community service under the eye of the CRF. He spends his days receiving tomorrows reports of damage and notifying citizens of danger zones. He has single-handedly prevented the loss of thousands of lives due to disasters, natural or otherwise.
Despite serving a sentence, Harry doesn't feel like he's being punished. He embraces his power and uses it to save lives, and willing cooperates with the Registry Committee and the CRF.
His supername "The Postman" is a name given to him unofficially by the population of Greater Warbick, because his public work is seen as delivering letters to people to save their lives.
Despite not being religious, he is treated by some groups as a seer, and proof that higher powers are watching out for them. He denies being a prophet.
Currently lives alone under guard, the governing body fear he would be assassinated for his ability to foil plots. Despite living without a family unit, he is good friends with his supervisors and guards, who don't treat him as a convict or a resource.
He also moonlights as a weatherman.
