Superstuff:Supername: InvinciMan. He thinks it's a cool name, even though it really isn't. Superpower: Invincible. Alignment: Leaning towards hero, but more of a neutral. Type: Mutant. Weakness: He’s basically a human being who’s invincible. He still feels pain and whatnot. He’s morbidly afraid of bees. Humanstuff:Real name: Phoenix Chandler. Appearance: Pale and dour-looking. Long, downward turned mouth. Short, black hair. Cold, blue eyes (his eyes are of a normal temperature - it’s just a figure of speech 8D). Job: He’s a defense lawyer. He hates his job but is afraid he won’t find anything else. Other: Phoenix is depressed. He actually jumped off the one of the many high-rise buildings in his city but, of course, he’s invincible, so therefore didn’t die. His goal is to find a way to lose his power so he can die. He’s quite a gentleman, though he never looks very happy. He decided to become a superhero because he hopes there's some super-powerful villain who has the power to insta-kill invincible people. And he's bored. So why is he depressed, you may ask? He's one of those weird people who are born sad and never really grow out of it. City: Dee Eight city. (D8). A city much like Singapore, but cooler and with a train system snaking across the city like a scar. Genre: Mystery/thriller. Permission: Feel free to use him, just tell me you’ve done so so I can smile at you. 8D NOTE: I might draw him, but probably not likely. I'll find a face-claim somewhere, otherwise. I kid.

I don't buy his suicidal tendencies. Even if he's disillusioned with his job, "he's just born sad" doesn't fly. Then why would be become suicidal as a lawyer? He's already made it through a hard, expensive schooling to get to where he is now and is probably making good money and attracting women. If he was "born sad" he would have resorted to some very risky behaviour in his teens instead of studying, right? [/blockquote]

I see where you're coming from.
But how's this for a sad reason to be sad: He defended a criminal, therefore saving him from jail. This criminal then killed someone. Mr. Chandler feels bad for saving this criminal. He feels like the law is some stupid lying, imperfect machine. Then, to put the cap on the bottle, he's social life is going into the bin. And coupled with his 'born sad' he just feels really sad. He's got nothing left to live for. His mother and father pushed him to go to law school. They're really rich (he actually wanted to become a policeman, idk). Does this solve your issues?

I'm thinking that in the course of his time as a superhero, he finds something he loves (a person?) and then he doesn't want to die anymore. What d'you think?

^ DO IT!!!!
But you'd think after a long life of not being able to be hurt (uh fatally that is) he'd feel pretty left out huh. I still like this guy xD (Why was it before the faceclaim I thought he looked like that?)
